Formalde- WHAT!?

I love false eyelashes! I cant help it. They just finish every look! They can be glamorous or natural and I find myself wearing them everyday. Until one of my fellow eyelash loving friends (Hey Mandy! :) ) brought to my attention that most of our beloved eyelash glues have formaldehyde in them! Why should you care that your eyelash glue may contain this substance... Because it causes cancer! and something that close to one of your major organs shouldn't contain chemicals that may cause cancer! So I set out on a mission and read what seemed like hundreds of ingredients and came up with some safer alternatives.  I was also a little disturbed how un accessible ingredients for some adhesives were...shady shady.

Before I start the list, over all, what I found is that alot of the brush on formulas are the ones that are formaldehyde free but DO NOT take that for granted read the ingredients before you purchase anything!!!!

Ardell Brush-On Lash Adhesive
$3.25
One of the few that I found that actually boasted about being Formaldehyde Free!

Duo Brush on Adhesive in Clear
$5.49
Just incase you were sad that this cult favorite in the squeeze tube has the carcinogen.

Georgie Beauty Lash Adhesive
$8
I had never heard of this brand before but everyone is raving about this and I am Super excited to try it! Check out some of the WINK eyelashes too they look amazing!

Revlon Precision Lash Adhesive in Clear and Dark
$4.75
I was really excited that this one didnt contain any formaldehyde! I had recently just switched from duo to this so it was the first one I looked up!!

Well there it is. My safer lash glue picks! Comment down below and tell me what your favorite lash glue is!

I Love Summer Tag

 Love Summer Tag

Sooo this maybe a lie. I don't love the summer. I hate being hot, I hate sand, my skin always goes crazy, and many other things. But there are some things that I like about the Summer and when I saw this tag started by MissGamorazzi I thought why not 12 questions I have favorite things that I like  to make summer more bareable.

1. Favorite Bronzer

Sonia Kashuks Creme Bronzer in Rich Bronze
This bronzer stays put all day long no matter how hot and oily my skin gets. Its also super affordable!

$10.99

2.Favorite Summer Drink
Unsweetened Ice Tea with a slice of Lemon. There is just something about ice tea and lemon that transports me to summers on the lake. I do drink it all year round but its a must have in my fridge for summer. If I cant make my own then I buy Sweet Leaf Unsweeted Lemon Lime Tea!!! Seriously its ammmmmaaazzziiinnngggg

$1.74
Whole Foods Market

3. Favorite Summer Lip Product
Revlon Kissable Balm Stain in Honey. I held out alonnnnnng time before trying these because I was ilke really how good could they be. They are amazing. The light minty scent is so invigorating in the hot weather. and Honey is the perfect  nude color the best way I can describe it is its your lip color but better. I still love my Hard Candy All Glossed up which is the same concept but the color of the this Revlon one in Honey is my go to for the summer. Mine is super beat up you cant read any of the writing on the outside because I carry it every where!

$7.19

4. Beach Or Pool
Neither Lake! I am currently sitting on the front porch of our lake house in my bathing suit looking at the lake coveting the coolness of the water. Ive grown up going to the lake every summer so thats always had a place in my heart.

5.Favorite Summer Hair Product
Beauty Protector Leave In Conditioner. I used to hate getting in the water because I could never tame my hair after I got out. This has been a life saver for my hair. I spray it on when I get out of the lake and all the tangles are effortlessly brushed out and my hair is super soft when it dries!
Full size $21.95

6. Fake Or Real Tan
neither again haha. I am horrible at both! I tried fake tanning my legs for my cousins wedding and I couldn't get it even! and I am to fidgety to lay on the beach! I have excepted the fact that I will forever be white.

7. Favorite Summer Nail Polish
Color Club Harp On It. I have been obsessed with holographic nails ever since I got this polish. And this color is prefect for the summer because it looks amazing in the sun! I love to pair it with a neon accent for a little something extra.

8. Summer tradition
The Lake. We always go to our lake house and send time as a family. My family lives in Pennsylvania and I live in Boston  So this 2 weeks every some we can count on having is a cherished time for us.

9. Favorite Summer Scent
Bath and Body Works Be Enchanted. I like body mists for the summer because I can throw them in my purse or beach bag and spray it on whenever I need a refresher and I don't feel as bad using my expensive perfume 15 times a day. It has a fruit base with a hint of floral undertones. BathandBodyWorks.com describes it as Citrus, Iced Pomegranate, Chilled Wild Berries and Crystallized passionfruit, with undertones of Honeysuckle, Frosted Bouquet, Sugared Violet, Dewfruit and Asian Pear. Its a complex scent but perfect for the summer.
$14

10. Favorite BBQ Food
Corn on the Cob and Salt Potatoes! These are the 2 foods that scream summer to me. Salt potatoes are a Pennsylvania BBQ staple if you don't know what they are check out the link below for the recipe and try them yourself!

11.  Favorite Summer Proof Product
The Coppertone Tattoo Guard SPF 50+ sunscreen stick. I know what your thinking you don't have tattoos! You're right but I do have very sensitive lips and when I am on vacation or in the sun a lot they tend to burn so I use this stick under my lip products or just by itself and it helps my lips from burning!
$5.99

12.  Summer Plans
The lake and going to the beach a lot! There will probably be a lot of trips to get ice cream as well!!!

So there they are the things I like about summer!

July Favorites!

July Favorites!!!

Oh man I swear that I just sat down and wrote my June favorites!!! Where did this month go!!! I didn't really do much this month the first 2 weeks I planned out what I was going to take on vacation and the last 2 weeks I have been on vacation! So here they are the things that I have been loving this month!

Rimmel Show Off Lip Laquers

I can't tell you how much I love these. I have 6 colors and all of them are fantastic!! They are long lasting and easily apply to your lips in one swipe!! I swear the applicator to these is the best applicator I have used on any lip product! It has a doe foot applicator that has a dip in the middle that collects product so you only need one swipe to cover your whole lips! Not to mention the product is opaque and creamy and doesn't go on streaky!!! And the best thing yet…they are $5!!! Seriously how can you go wrong for $5. You can't!

$5.49

Mac Fix+

Yes yes I know this isn't something new. Everyone uses it everyone raves about it. But this was a life saver this month when it was 101 degrees and I was melting. I took a bottle and kept it in the fridge!!! Yes the fridge! Then when it got hot I misted my face and it was an instant cool off for a few seconds.
$21

Sock Buns

Also not something new but I have loved them this month. The whole vacation it has been 1,000 degrees here so I haven't wanted to wear my hair down because its been soooo hot so i have just rolled my hair into a messy large sock bun. Sometimes I put a big bow in the front or 2 small bows in the back. Its been super easy and kept me cool!
$5.95
ebay.com

High Wasted Bathing Suit Bottoms

I bought a really cute top at Walmart. But they didn't have the bottoms in my size. So I went to my favorite curvy girl swimsuit website swimsuitforall.com and bought some simple black high wasted briefs. and let me tell you I love them!!! I have practically lived in them the whole vacation they are sexy but still cover the parts you don't want showing!!! Plus if you sign up for their emails they are constantly running sales that make all of their great suits super affordable!!!
$68

Vaseline Spray n Go Lotion
Its been suppppppper hot here and any sort of relief has been appreciated. Every night before bed I used the spray lotion and the fine mist has been cooling and keeping my skin super soft!  I also have been using the aloe version after I have been in the sun to cool my skin!
$7.79
So there you go the things I am LOVING from the past month!

Have something you loved last month tell me about it in the comments below!!!

June Favorite!

Ok So Im a little late...But better late than never right?

Here are the things that I was loving in the month of June!

Revlon Lash Potion By Grow Luscious Waterproof
This mascara is ammmmaaazzziiinnngggg. The formula is thick and bonds to your lashes and makes them look so uh...luscious haha. The Brush is large and separates your lashes to make it look like you have a hundred lashes. Also its a fiber brush not one of those spikey silicone brushes that never work for me and the best part is the PRICE!!
$4.99

Hard Candy All Glossed Up Hydrating Lip Stain
These are amazing which is why I devoted a whole blog post to them. Check it out!
The color pay off to these are amazing. They go on smooth and creamy and they are super glossy! These has been my staple lip product because they are super light on the lips! As you can tell I have the whole collection and I love every single color!
$5

Neon and Holographic Nails

I cant get enough of this trend! I love holographic and I love Neon and together Im obsessed! I have worn this almost everyday since I bought the holographic nail polish! Its summery and bright and it gives you a great pop of color to what ever you wear! Here are some of my favorite holographic and neon nail polishes.
Color Club 976 Harp On It
China Glaze 872 Pool Party
Sinful Colors 60 Fusion Neon
China Glaze 1005 Orange Knockout
China Glaze 1015 Celtic Sun

Tip: Put a white base coat then top it with a Matte top coat under your neon polish to make the color pop and it helps you use less coats and it gives you a more opaque application!!

Sonia Kashuk Creme Bronzer 42 Rich Brown
I have oily skin so in the summer its hard to find powder products that stay on my face all day. But this cream bronzer is Awesome!! I can put it on in the morning and when I go to take off my make up at night its still on! The color isnt orange and it gives your cheeks a nice glow. Its sheer but you can build it up depending on where you are putting it!
Left is a direct swatch and on the right is it brushed on and blended.
$10.99

and last but not least...

Little Bows
I love the cuteness and ease of these tiny little bows. and because its been brutally hot the last week or so I have been wearing my hair up a lot and needed a little something extra to make it look cute! I put them in back of my sock bun, on the front of my Pony Tail or on the side of my swoop bangs! I have them in tons of colors and you can find them really cheap! Like Under $2 Cheap!!!
check out my favorite place to get tiny bows including some I have pictured above!

So there you go the things I am LOVING from the past month!

Pastel Summer Full Face Tutorial!

I know what your thinking pastels arent for summer! but sometimes you need a little break from the holographic and neons that are associated with the summer months! If you want to know how to get this colorful look read below!!!

First this I do is moisturize my face with a moisturizer with SPF. Right now I am using Ponds Luminous moisture day lotion with spf 15. I like this because it absorbs quickly and doesnt leave my skin oily!

1.Next I started off with Revlon color stay whipped foundation in 220 nude which I applied all over my face with a beauty blender dampened with Macs Fix+. Which you can use water to slightly dampen your beauty blender I just like the extra minerals it adds to my foundation plus I love the smell.
2. I dab on my Hard Candy Glam-O-Flage in medium/light just on the blemishes I have on my chin and any dark spots on my face. I blend this out with the same beauty blender that I used with my foundation.
3. I use my real techniques buffing brush to buff in my Maybelline Dream Matter Powder in Beige all over my skin. I LOVE this brush it gives your skin a flawless air brush look! If you get one face brush get this one!
Milani Eye Shadow Primer
NYX Eye Shadow Base in 01 White

4. Prime your lid with Milani's Eyeshadow Primer wait 30 seconds! Then apply NYX eyeshadow base in white concentrating it on the lid and blending it into the crease. I use my finger for this I think it works the best with the sticky base.
(from top left clock wise)
 Mac Beautiful Iris
Mac Creme De Violet
Mac Omega
Urban Decay Intergalactic

5. Starting with a flat shader brush sweep on Beautiful Iris on the inner 3rd of your lid.

6. Then with the same brush on the other side take Creme De Violet pack that on the middle of your lid blending it into the Beautiful Iris keeping it on the lid.

7. You can wipe off the same flat shader brush on a paper towel and use it in Intergalactic and pack that on the outer 2/3 of the lid forming a C shape.

7. Then take Omega and a fluffy blending brush and blend out the purple shades into the crease so they almost gradually disappear towards your brow bone. Omega can be replaced for a shade that matches your skin tone!

8. After my eyeshadow is looking how I want it I brush away any fall out that might have happened on my cheecks then dab on the Neutrogena Healthy Skin 3-in-1 Concealer for Eyes in 05 fair (Whoa! Long Name) under my eyes and blend out with my beauty blender.
9. Then with the Loreal Infallible The Super Slim Liner in Black I lined my eyes and did a cat eye at the end but a small one. (comment bellow if you want a tutorial on how to do winged liner!)

10. Ok. Please ignore my crazy lashes!!! I have really stubborn lashes and I have yet to find a non heated lash curler that curls them and the heated one I have apparently stopped curling them now too! :( But life goes on. I use 3 different mascaras in the summer first I curl my lashes (even though it does nothing for me) then I apply Loreals Power  Volume Collagen Waterproof. You can use any water proof formula the wax in the waterproof formulas help hold the curl to you lashes. Then I curl them again with my heated wand lash curler and I apply Maybellines Falsies Big Eyes Waterproof Top Lash to my top lashes and the bottom lashes to the bottom. After that has dried for a second I add some Physicians Formula Fake Out to my top lashes for a little extra volume!

11. For a little something extra and to hide my stubborn crazy lashes I applied Miss Adoro #1 Lashes. These are ok this was the first time I had used them I like the look but I had a mishap in Target where my lash practically fell off! Im not sure if it was the lash (I use the same glue every day and hadn't had that happen) or the fact it was 96 degrees that day. Life goes on and I whipped out my Revlon Precision eye lash glue in the home goods department and put my lash back on! Crisis averted.

12. While the lashes are drying apply Stila Smudge Stick in Turquoise in the water line for that little extra pop of color.

13. I use the NYX Eyebrow Cake Powder in Auburn/Red to fill in my brows.
14. Highlight the top of your cheek bones, the center of your nose, your cupids bow, and your brow bones with The Balms Mary Lou Manizer.
15. I love a cream bronzer in the summer. So with a Large Stippling brush or a duo fiber face brush apply Sonia Kashuks Cream Bronzer in 42 rich bronze to the hallows of you cheeks your hair line and under your chin and jawline.
16. For blush I am using Sonia Kashuks Beautifying Blush in 51 Flushed which is a SCARY neon pink but on the cheeks its bright and perfect for summer.
17. Last but not least LIPS! and to keep with out pastel theme I used Macs St. Germain. This is my go too lip color! Mac amplified lip sticks are so creamy and luscious and this color can be dressed up or down!

SO here it is the final look!
