Empties!

So whats a better way to tell if a product is good? Use it alllllllllll! So this is what it is! Its the products that I have used up and whether they worked or not! so here we go guys and dolls...

The first thing I have in my bin is the Ponds Evening Soothe Wet Cleansing Towelettes. These were over all good but I cant really say they were "soothing". The Chamomile and white tea scent smelled soooooo goooood. And the texture of these wipes remind me of a crocheted face cloth.  I wouldnt use these for taking off my eye make up but for removing foundation and general crap from your face after a long day. Over all I give them a <3<3<3 out of 5 and I dont think I will be repurchasing.
$4.55

Next UP hahaha yes pun intended... Up & Up Eye makeup remover liquid. This for a target brand was a really good oil free eye makeup remover. Some eye makeup removers make false eyelashes greasy and they dont stick after that. This one loosened the glue and cleaned off the mascara no problem. I also felt like this one lasted FOREVER! I like that it has an open top and not one that you have to poor the liquid out, this helps it last much longer than most. It also took my eye make up off with ease and didnt irritate my eyes. I think I will defiantly purchase this again. Over all I give this <3<3<3<3<3 out of 5.
$5.99
Target Stores

I have never in my life have I  finished a face lotion because I end up not liking them and then throw them away. But FINALLY I have found one that I love! It is the Boots Expert Sensitive Hydrating Moisturizer! It doesnt break me out and it doent make my face feel dry after it soaks in the skin. When I wake up in the morning my face is so soft and still not oily! I will be purchasing this again I give it a <3<3<3<3<3 out of 5.
$5.19

Ok so there is one thing that I have to admit. Im addicted to face wipes. I dont know what it is there just soooooo convenient! The Simple cleansing facial wipes are so good! I wish there was more of a scent to them but thats not a make or break point for me. I would use them to take off my full face of make up but I like using a liquid eye make up remover. As far a taking off foundation and general face grim these are GREAT!! They dont irritate the skin and they leave your face feeling clean and refreshed! I give these a <3<3<3<3<3 out of 5 and I will defiantly be repurchasing these!
$5.99

And last but not least. My favorite of this set of empties. The Vaseline Spray & Go Moisturizer in the pure oat and stratys variety. This is the greatest invention since sliced bread! I hate the feel of lotion. It makes me feel slimy and sticky, and I just cant handle that feeling. Not to mention it takes foooorrrreeeevvvveeerrrr to rub in. Aint nobody got time for that.... but seriously...who has time for that! Not me! But this you just spray on rub your hands over it and your done! Sometimes and if Im feeling lazy I spray it on and climb into bed. By the time I get in its dry! You would think that it would hydrate your skin as well as the wet, sticky, slimy stuff that we have all come to deal with but NOTHING and I seriously mean NOTHING I have ever used made my skin this soft! Vaseline has been a secret in my beauty routine for as long as I have been using makeup and this new product is made with the same quality as my beloved jar of vaseline gel. I am currently working my way through the Aloe version of this and I will be purchasing this until the inevitably discontinue it on me. I give this <3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3 out of 5! Its my new end all be all lotion!! seriously try it!

$7.79

Rainbows, Unicorns and Cotton Candy, Oh My!

Ok so there is no unicorns or cotton candy I'm sorry! But there are rainbows! Thats right you may have seen this crazy taking the universe...errr well at least the makeup world by storm and thats the rainbow tag!!! If you know anything about me you know that I like color. Im a very bright person and I had a reallllllyyyyyyy hard time picking just a few of my favorites to show you! so guys and dolls here we go!

Red... its appropriate that I start here because not only is it the first color but my life is red! My hair is red, my car is red, alot of my favorite things are red! Though it was not hard picking my favorite red product and dun dun dun dun dunnnnnnn it Manic Panic Vampire Red Hair Dye! I dyed my hair 2 years ago and never looked back. Though I have added different colored feathers and extensions, dyed half of it pink, I have stayed true to my Vampire Red. This hair dye stays in my hair till I need to dye it again, and though it may fade sightly it fades into a nice shade of dark pink. and it only takes 2 jars to cover my hair when other dyes I need 4 or 5! Plus a huge plus is that is Vegan! So if you are looking for a little something to brighten up your hair try this amazing color!

Orange...Im obsessed with nails. I paint them religiously and love a good nail art. But I have soooooo many favorite polishes I couldnt choose just one! But there is something that I cant live with out and that is nail brushes! i have one on the sink, one in the shower, one on my desk, and a bunch more on reserve in my nail drawers! But this little guy is my favorite. My BFFs Scott and Tim got this for me for Easter and  I LOVE IT!! He is so cute and it works really well!
Yellow... I recently fell in love with Bath and Body Works Candles. I know I know late on the band wagon! This is nothing new. They saturate the whole room with fragrance and the variety is amazing! But my favorite one as of recently is Poolside! This bright Yellow candle is smells identical to suntan lotion! I know what you are thinking, "ew why would I want that" but its amazing it makes me actually like summer and for those of you close to me you know I dont like summer. The description on the bottom says Lemon, Orange, and tropical blossoms with a splash of coconut. And it smells exactly like laying on the beach relaxing!

Green... Im just going to get to the point. I. love. green. eye. shadow.  I cant help it! Here are my favorites!
Left to Right: Rockeresque Pepperment Gummy Bear, Sugarpill Acidberry, Illamasqua Fledgling

Left to Right: Illamasqua Fledgling, Sugarpill Acidberry, Rockeresque Pepperment Gummy Bear

Find Them Here!

Blue...Skin is the base of everything so it is very important that you take care of it. I have acne prone skin in the warmer months so I use some acne medicines that tend to dry out my skin but I hate the feel of lotion. I stumbled acrossed the H2O+ Oasis Mist at Tjmaxx and I have been addicted ever since. I spray it on my face in the morning and at night or when ever my bare skin needs a little pick me up! It doesnt really have smell but its so refreshing I cant get enough! Pick it up at TJmaxx or you can get it here!

Purple... Say Yes to Blueberries. YES BLUEBERRY! ok on a serious note. Im addicted to face wipes and I have alot of them. Though these ones are my favorite the Lemon and apple smell is to dye for! And they are formulated with blueberries and coconut to cleanse and moisturize your face all at once! Not to mention they take off even the toughest water proof mascara without that stinging feeling alot of other face wipes leave. They also leave your skin feeling refreshed and not oily!

Pink...My go to color for everything. Its been my favorite color for forever! and when Im in a hurry or feeling down Pink lipstick is my go to. Im not picky about shade I truly love them all. and oh do I have a variety! Here are some of my favorites!

From Left to Right (Swatches are the same)
Maybelline Vivids in 875 Vivid Rose
Tony Moly Petite Bunny Gloss Bar in 05
Mac Impassioned
Mac St. Germain
Maybelline Color Whisper in 60 Petel Rebel
CoverGirl 415 Siren
Maybelline Super Stay13 hr lipstick in 020 Eternal Rose

and last but not least the rainbow. My favorite rainbow product is my Coastal Scents 88 palette. With 88 shadows if I need a specific color for a look more than likely this palette has it! Most of the colors have a good color pay off and the price is super affordable! I also have the 88 shimmer palette and I love that one just as much!

So here it is a few of my favorite things...rainbow edition!!

Loves, Likes, and Lames: Drug Store Liquid Eyeliner

The one makeup product I cant live without is Liquid Eyeliner! Its the first makeup product my mom ever bought me when I was 13 ( I wore that Avon Liquid eyeliner all through high school). And its been a love that lasted a life time. Though I have strayed away from the Avon liner I have tried a plethora of drugstore and high end liquid liners. Recently I found some FANTASTIC (and not so fantastic ) drug store liners! So here are my Loves, Likes, and Lames!

Loves...

My first love is the L'Oreal 12 hr Infallible The Super Slim Liquid Eyeliner. I cant tell you how much I love this eyeliner. It is a felt tip but the tip has some flexibility. If you know me you know I am obsessed with a winged cat eye so the applicator is very important. With this liner you still get product at the tip so it makes easy to get that perfect point. Plus a major problem with drugstore liner is when they say that its black its transparent or grey. This is by far my biggest pet peeve with liquid liner. If you label it black make it black! Now that I have ranted this liner is SUPER black! It is the blackest drug store liner I have ever used! It also has a good price point at $7.99.

Another Fantastic liquid liner is Maybelline Master Precise By EyeStudio this too is a felt tip pen style! This is a great starter liner if you have never tried liquid liner. Its super black and fast drying.  It has a flexible tip that makes it easy to apply. The price point is good too at $7.99.

Likes...

The E.L.F. Waterproof Eyeliner Pen can only be a like for me. I have bought it once and probably wont buy it again. I love the formula of this liner. Its SUPER black and smudge proof. You cant beat the $2 price point either! But unfortunately the tip is horrible I hate what they were trying to go for there. Its this 3 prong hard felt tip. I can understand that they wanted to appeal to multiple audiences but I am not one of them. It is VERY difficult to do anything but a slim line close to the lashes.

Lames....

Maybelline Line Stiletto has some good and some bad points either way this is a fail. The formula is so thin it drips off the tip. Then when you put it on your eye its very transparent and barely black. At $5.99 its a good price but I wouldn't buy it ever again.

and last but not least the Maybelline Master Duo by Eye Studio. I want to like this liner. So many people rave about how good it is. But I regret buying it. the ball end tip is supposed to give you a think and thin line but it all just bleeds when ever you use it. The formula is so thin that it bleeds on your eye and isnt black its grey and transparent. I used it today to try and give it another chance but didnt like anything about this.

Have you tried any of these? Let me know what you think!

Subscription Time! Birchbox Style.

So I'm addicted. I live for trying new products and exploring new brands. But that can be expensive! So a good way to do that is through subscription services. You can get samples and some times full size products for a fraction of the price. The one I have here today I feel is one of the more popular ones. Its Birchbox! ( www.birchbox.com )
Heres how it works you go to the website above and request an invitation. It says it takes up to 4 weeks but I got mine within a week. Then you choose the type of subscription you want.
There is monthly for $10/month
or a yearly for $110
After you choose what works for you, you then take the quiz that determines what products would work best for you and what products you like getting!! For example I have colored hair (urgh I mean the vampire red and hot hot pink are clearly natural ;p) so when they send me shampoos or hair care products alot of them are specific for color treated hair! That was I am not using products that damage my hair!

You get a box once a month with about 4 samples, one full size, and sometimes an extra! Cant decide if Birchbox is for you. Here was May 2013's box!

This is what the box looks like when you first open it. It does come with an info card telling you what is in the box but I like the surprise!!
In this months box there is 4 samples and a full size item! (I know what you are saying there is only 4 items here. but there is 2 items in the yellow pack this month!)

This was the full size item in this months box. The Tweezerman Matchbox Itty Bitty Nail Files. There are 12 files in this box! I threw these in my purse and they are fantastic!! and I loooooove the green star pattern! They work well and they are great for when you snag your nail on the go!
full size $5

This was by far my FAVORITE product in the box. The Beauty Protector Protect and Detangle Spray. I sprayed this in my hair right out of the shower, and most of the time it takes me forrreeeeevvvvveeerrr to brush out my hair. With this I could brush my hair through the first try!!! It does have a floral perfume scent but it is not over powering and it just leaves a faint floral smell when your hair is dry. I will be purchasing the full size of this product!!
Full Size $21.95

Now I am really picky about the perfume I wear. Not to mention I am verrrrryyyy loyal to my Lady Gaga The Fame. and I was pleasantly surprised by the Joie Folle de Joie eau du parfum. This is Joie debut scent and if the rest they ever make smells this good. IM IN! The combination of mandarin, rose, and sandalwood is heavenly. I will be very sad when this sample runs out because I  am in love and the full size is VERY pricey.
Full Size $98

I have not worked this into my make up routine just yet. Though the Sumita Color Contrast Eyeliner in Black seems to be a very good pencil liner. This pencil comes in a pack of 4 mini pencils in other colors. I have swatched this and it is supppper creamy and very pigmented. I am excited to try it even though I am addicted to liquid liner. I am thinking this will be good in the water line to darken up a smokey eye! Its said to be inspired by traditional Indian Formulas.
Full Size -Four mini pencils $21

and last but not least the Coola Classic Face SPF 30 Cucumber Moisturizer for Face. I like this product so far. My skin is very sensitive to the sun. So I am always looking for a sunscreen for my face that smells nice and doesn't leave my skin looking like I dumped a bottle of olive oil on it.  Plus this one has organic anti aging ingredients like primrose extract and borage seed oil! Plus it smells nice like floral cucumber! I am excited to put this to the test on a trip to the beach!
full size $32

Now I must say this is a good box I am pretty much excited to try all of the products this month! All of the information that I have provided came off the info card that comes in the box! and all the opinions are mine and mine alone!

See a product you think you would like and want to know more leave me a comment below and I will do a review with it!!

Until Next Time!

Every Spring Needs A Little Sparkle Nails!

It was super warm today!! Which got me motivated to paint my nails all my favorite colors for spring. So if you want to know how I did these nails! Read on!

So here is what you will need...

For Nail polish you will need
Sally Hansen Insta-Dry 110 Clear Quickly (or any clear top coat you like)
Fresh Paint in Guava
Fresh Paint in Alex's Lemonade
Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in 270 Lacey Lilac
Sation Nail Laquer in Of Corset Ill Call You
Sally Girl in Light green (there is no color name or number on the bottle)
Sally Hansen Fuzzy Coat in 600 Fuzzy Fantasy
Spoiled in S004 Correction Tape (not pictured {or your favorite white})
Essie Matte About You top coat
Loose long silver glitter
Loose white glitter (these can be substituted for your favorite glitter top coat)

A dotting tool (a tool, bobby pin, straight pin, anything that you can make dots with)
a palette or flat surface that you can put polish on (I use a Manic Panic Jar)
Acetone
QTips

Note: you can change any of the colors for colors what you have! also try it with black dots instead of white! Also it looks great with out the glitter as well!

Sooooo lets get started!

1. Paint your thumbs with the white. and your ring finger with the light green. Apply clear top coat over both of these so they dont bleed into your top colors.

2. now paint the pink over the white and the green glitter over the green and the other colors in what ever order you would like. paint as many coats as it takes to become opaque. Let dry.

3. paint the matte top coat over all of the nails EXCEPT the green glitter. let dry.

 4. Now grab what ever you are using for your palette. I use an empty jar of manic panic hair dye. you can store things in it and its the right size that I can rest my finger and dab some polish on it. Now place  a blob of the white polish on the lid. now take your dotting tool and place random polka dots all over the nail. Make sure you continually dab more polish on the lid. If it gets too dry it will cause stringys when you make your dots.

5. Take the matte top coat and paint some on the back end of your nail. now QUICKLY dip a qtip in the long silver glitter and tap it on your nail. You have to work Quickly because the matte top coat dries realllllllly fast! repeat with the white glitter. and then top with the matte top coat!

6. clean up any edges with a qtip dipped in acetone!

7. Show off to your friends!!!

Hope this gives you some great ideas for some fun spring nails! If you do these or you do your own version leave them in the comment below I would love to see them!!!

Have you seen a nail trend you have always wanted to try. let me know! Ill do a tutorial on how to do it! :)
