June Favorite!

Ok So Im a little late...But better late than never right?

Here are the things that I was loving in the month of June!

Revlon Lash Potion By Grow Luscious Waterproof
This mascara is ammmmaaazzziiinnngggg. The formula is thick and bonds to your lashes and makes them look so uh...luscious haha. The Brush is large and separates your lashes to make it look like you have a hundred lashes. Also its a fiber brush not one of those spikey silicone brushes that never work for me and the best part is the PRICE!!
$4.99

Hard Candy All Glossed Up Hydrating Lip Stain
These are amazing which is why I devoted a whole blog post to them. Check it out!
The color pay off to these are amazing. They go on smooth and creamy and they are super glossy! These has been my staple lip product because they are super light on the lips! As you can tell I have the whole collection and I love every single color!
$5

Neon and Holographic Nails

I cant get enough of this trend! I love holographic and I love Neon and together Im obsessed! I have worn this almost everyday since I bought the holographic nail polish! Its summery and bright and it gives you a great pop of color to what ever you wear! Here are some of my favorite holographic and neon nail polishes.
Color Club 976 Harp On It
China Glaze 872 Pool Party
Sinful Colors 60 Fusion Neon
China Glaze 1005 Orange Knockout
China Glaze 1015 Celtic Sun

Tip: Put a white base coat then top it with a Matte top coat under your neon polish to make the color pop and it helps you use less coats and it gives you a more opaque application!!

Sonia Kashuk Creme Bronzer 42 Rich Brown
I have oily skin so in the summer its hard to find powder products that stay on my face all day. But this cream bronzer is Awesome!! I can put it on in the morning and when I go to take off my make up at night its still on! The color isnt orange and it gives your cheeks a nice glow. Its sheer but you can build it up depending on where you are putting it!
Left is a direct swatch and on the right is it brushed on and blended.
$10.99

and last but not least...

Little Bows
I love the cuteness and ease of these tiny little bows. and because its been brutally hot the last week or so I have been wearing my hair up a lot and needed a little something extra to make it look cute! I put them in back of my sock bun, on the front of my Pony Tail or on the side of my swoop bangs! I have them in tons of colors and you can find them really cheap! Like Under $2 Cheap!!!
check out my favorite place to get tiny bows including some I have pictured above!

So there you go the things I am LOVING from the past month!

Pastel Summer Full Face Tutorial!

I know what your thinking pastels arent for summer! but sometimes you need a little break from the holographic and neons that are associated with the summer months! If you want to know how to get this colorful look read below!!!

First this I do is moisturize my face with a moisturizer with SPF. Right now I am using Ponds Luminous moisture day lotion with spf 15. I like this because it absorbs quickly and doesnt leave my skin oily!

1.Next I started off with Revlon color stay whipped foundation in 220 nude which I applied all over my face with a beauty blender dampened with Macs Fix+. Which you can use water to slightly dampen your beauty blender I just like the extra minerals it adds to my foundation plus I love the smell.
2. I dab on my Hard Candy Glam-O-Flage in medium/light just on the blemishes I have on my chin and any dark spots on my face. I blend this out with the same beauty blender that I used with my foundation.
3. I use my real techniques buffing brush to buff in my Maybelline Dream Matter Powder in Beige all over my skin. I LOVE this brush it gives your skin a flawless air brush look! If you get one face brush get this one!
Milani Eye Shadow Primer
NYX Eye Shadow Base in 01 White

4. Prime your lid with Milani's Eyeshadow Primer wait 30 seconds! Then apply NYX eyeshadow base in white concentrating it on the lid and blending it into the crease. I use my finger for this I think it works the best with the sticky base.
(from top left clock wise)
 Mac Beautiful Iris
Mac Creme De Violet
Mac Omega
Urban Decay Intergalactic

5. Starting with a flat shader brush sweep on Beautiful Iris on the inner 3rd of your lid.

6. Then with the same brush on the other side take Creme De Violet pack that on the middle of your lid blending it into the Beautiful Iris keeping it on the lid.

7. You can wipe off the same flat shader brush on a paper towel and use it in Intergalactic and pack that on the outer 2/3 of the lid forming a C shape.

7. Then take Omega and a fluffy blending brush and blend out the purple shades into the crease so they almost gradually disappear towards your brow bone. Omega can be replaced for a shade that matches your skin tone!

8. After my eyeshadow is looking how I want it I brush away any fall out that might have happened on my cheecks then dab on the Neutrogena Healthy Skin 3-in-1 Concealer for Eyes in 05 fair (Whoa! Long Name) under my eyes and blend out with my beauty blender.
9. Then with the Loreal Infallible The Super Slim Liner in Black I lined my eyes and did a cat eye at the end but a small one. (comment bellow if you want a tutorial on how to do winged liner!)

10. Ok. Please ignore my crazy lashes!!! I have really stubborn lashes and I have yet to find a non heated lash curler that curls them and the heated one I have apparently stopped curling them now too! :( But life goes on. I use 3 different mascaras in the summer first I curl my lashes (even though it does nothing for me) then I apply Loreals Power  Volume Collagen Waterproof. You can use any water proof formula the wax in the waterproof formulas help hold the curl to you lashes. Then I curl them again with my heated wand lash curler and I apply Maybellines Falsies Big Eyes Waterproof Top Lash to my top lashes and the bottom lashes to the bottom. After that has dried for a second I add some Physicians Formula Fake Out to my top lashes for a little extra volume!

11. For a little something extra and to hide my stubborn crazy lashes I applied Miss Adoro #1 Lashes. These are ok this was the first time I had used them I like the look but I had a mishap in Target where my lash practically fell off! Im not sure if it was the lash (I use the same glue every day and hadn't had that happen) or the fact it was 96 degrees that day. Life goes on and I whipped out my Revlon Precision eye lash glue in the home goods department and put my lash back on! Crisis averted.

12. While the lashes are drying apply Stila Smudge Stick in Turquoise in the water line for that little extra pop of color.

13. I use the NYX Eyebrow Cake Powder in Auburn/Red to fill in my brows.
14. Highlight the top of your cheek bones, the center of your nose, your cupids bow, and your brow bones with The Balms Mary Lou Manizer.
15. I love a cream bronzer in the summer. So with a Large Stippling brush or a duo fiber face brush apply Sonia Kashuks Cream Bronzer in 42 rich bronze to the hallows of you cheeks your hair line and under your chin and jawline.
16. For blush I am using Sonia Kashuks Beautifying Blush in 51 Flushed which is a SCARY neon pink but on the cheeks its bright and perfect for summer.
17. Last but not least LIPS! and to keep with out pastel theme I used Macs St. Germain. This is my go too lip color! Mac amplified lip sticks are so creamy and luscious and this color can be dressed up or down!

SO here it is the final look!

Rants and Raves! Hard Candy All Glossed Up

If you know me then you know that I have very sensitive lips. I have to be very careful what I put on them. I have coveted the Revlon Balm Stains and the other ones alike since they came out. But as I tried them I had allergy reaction after allergic reaction and finally gave up. Until I came across the Hard Candy All Glossed Up. I was in my 5th hour of driving and I pulled into a Walmart just to walk around and stumbled a crossed these. I figured why not one more shot! and They are awesome and I liked them better then every other brand that I have tried. The sheer color actually shows on you lips and the glossy formula is thin and creamy. Over all these are by far I think the best lip balm gloss sticks at the drugstore! Empty Stars!

So I am going to do something a little different with my empties. I am going to do them in a series of Stars and Sucks! Because there are alot of products I love and alot I didnt like so much. If I tried to put them in one post it would be supppppppper long! So we will just do it in little spirts! If you like this leave me a comment below!

I am always on the hunt for a good eye makeup remover! I have been through so many in the last couple months searching for a holy grail remover! For the most part I liked the Maybelline Clean Express Make Up Remover. Its Oil free and it took off my water proof eye make up. Also it didnt sing my eyes which can be a problem! But over all this was pretty good. I would purchase this again. and the price is pretty good!
$4.79

Another part of my night time routine that I am still trying to find a holy grail product for is my night time moisturizer. Over all this one worked well but I felt it absorbed into my skin to fast by the time I crawled into bed my face felt dry. I like the other Expert Sensitive Hydrating Moisturizer a little better but this did the job. I would purchase this again.
$6.99

Ok so if you have been reading my previous post you know I looooove face wipes! I have at least 20 back up packages so I never runout and I have some definite favorites! These are one of them! The Say yes to blueberries cleansing facial towelettes are some of the best! They take off all your make up and leave your face feeling soft and fresh. Plus they smell like lemons and apples and its ammmmaaazzziiinnnggg!!!! They cost more than most face wipes but if you catch them on sale they are worth trying out. I HAVE repurchased these many times and will continue to.
$7.99

Have a product you want me to try comment below and tell me what it is!!!

$20 Makeup Challenge: CVS edition

So the back story....

Your traveling and the airline looses your luggage. OH NO! and you only have $20 to buy new make up! Realistically you dont want to go to a million stores and waste more of your vacation hunting down a bargain! So I am going to do a series where I go to just one store and do my full face, applicators and all, for under $20! So here we go!

The first store I thought I would try was CVS it was handy and I thought it was easy. Oh how wrong I was! When you have such a small budget the  "deals" dont look as nice. Did I make it? Did I not? Read on and See!!

AHHHHH so this is SUPER out of my comfort zone! Me with out make up! Sorry for the dark pics I did this at night.
Wet n Wild Cover All Concealor
$1.99

I warmed up the concealor on my finger and then dabbed it under my eyes, around my nose and on the corners of my mouth. Where ever I needed a little extra coverage.
Wet N Wild Coverall pressed powder foundation in 822B Fair/Light
$3.19

I dabbed the powder all over my face with the provided applicator because I have a tendency to be oily in the summer.

Wet n Wild Trio on 381B Sweet as Candy and 335 Silent Treatment
$2.99 each

OK this picture is horrible. I am aware. But I did the look a few day ago. But here is what I did!
I took the concealor and dapped some on my eyelid and blended it out as an eye shadow base.
Then I took the little brush in the trio and blended the the Taupe color (last one no the right) in my crease.
Then I took the sponge tip applicator and brushed the rose gold pink (last one on the left) color all over my lid.
Then with the brush I blended the dark brown with gold shimmer (second one on the right) on the outer V.
After all the color was to my liking I blended it with the clean brush from the other palette.

I also took the sponge applicator and took the medium brown color (second on the left) and filled in my eyebrows and highlighted underneath them with the ivory color (top left)

NYC Kohl Brow/eyeliner Pencil
$.99

Let me tell you this pencil isnt worth the .99 there is no color pay off at all and I am pretty sure it scratched my eyelid. What I ended up doing for eyeliner is rubbing the pencil in the darkest brown shadow and smudging it. Over all this was the only fail of all the products I got!

Physcians Formula Organic Wear Fake Out
$6.29

Over all this was my favorite thing I bought and it was the best deal! This mascara is great!! I will be using this in my everyday lash routine! plus here is a better pic of my eye makeup!

Wet n wild trio in sweet as candy
$2.99

Make Up Sponges 2.87

I love a good contour so I wouldnt feel right not including it.
So to start I took one of the sponges and dabbed it in the ivory color and then used that to highlight the top of my cheek bones and down my nose
Then I took the brown and used another make up sponge to blend in the shadow in the hallows of my cheeks, at my temple. and around my hairline.
Then I took the pink color and dabbed it on my cheeks with another makeup sponge for blush!
Wet n Wild Lipstick In 905D Smokin' Hot Pink
$1.99

When in doubt go with a bold lip! This is a great way to fancy up a look! These lipsticks are super pigmented and come in a variety of great colors! and for 2 dollars you really cant go wrong.

So here it is the final look!! I coudnt do this everyday. I love my make up collection but in a pinch I could defiantly make it work! with the 6 eye shadows there is so many looks you could do!
So did I make it??

Technically Yes! my over all total was $20.51 and I know I know the goal was $20 and under buttttttt I got $2 in extra bucks for buying all the wet n wild stuff so technically I spent $18.51. There were 3 coupons on the products I got so I saved 4 dollars there as well!! This was definitely a challenge but I had fun putting together different combinations to come under budget!

Have a store you want me to try the $20 make up challenge comment below and let me know!
